so hard not to get mad at other drivers. today was different. learning about self control the previous day taught me to control this irritating reaction i have towards other drivers on the road.
besides these things. today was great! woke up, and my dog kona (the crazy) —one thing about kona is that when you enter a room, or come home/wake up she greets you with something in her mouth. doesn't mean it has to be a toy, could be a shoe, a leaf, never animals live/dead, but objects of all sorts....— well she welcomed me this morning with a crumpled up newspaper in her mouth, beating/whip lashing her tail back and forth, knocking down the clean clothes of the table. seeing her all excited and bringing me literally the news brought joy and warmth to my heart. how awesome is it that no matter what she is always happy, and loving?... going to use this as a metaphor: we should be acting this way towards God. not so much of the whole bring a toy and wag a tail, but more of no matter what is going on in our lives we are happy and loving that God loves us and has saved us. always welcoming him into our lives and enjoying the company he brings.
besides kona. i dropped off allllll of my type and graphic design II projects and am finished with that. now just need econ/pols exam next week and i'm good to go. the art show is tomorrow and i'm looking forward to getting to see what other classes have to offer.
the rest of the day, ---no school!!!--- was well spent by the newly resurfaced pool that i have been meaning to cannon ball into since it was completed last week. found a black widow...literally. and my mom saved me, love her. and kona decided to join the fun of my pool adventures. luckily i don't think i got sun burned but we will soon find out tomorrow.
then as if this day was not complete enough i have MOVED OUT!!! of the hut. >> but into my sister's old room which has no room for me. i think i'll miss my solitary hut. i enjoyed my time out there -minus the cold nites.
one thing to be excited for: went to a guest speaker presentation about graphic design tonite at school... & i think that after i graduate i'm going to apply for a job in europe. which apparently you can get a worker's permit for 6 months and there's a really awesome program and everything. endless opportunities. one thing is for sure: i want to make an impact for God. wherever i go, i know that it will be for His Glory. i would love to work on the design team for promoting missionary trips/web design/whatever design. i know i have a purpose in all of this. i just can't wait for it to unfold itself before my eyes, as God has been revealing tidbits here and there. i am excited for what is to come.
&&& something rad: stumbled across a book: Knowing God. by J.I.P. i think this will be a great summer read. mmm
it's weird to think that i will be a senior this next semester. weird. but i know i won't be graduating in 4 years. so cheers to more schooling!
something that has been on my mind... prayer. i know that He is calling me to serve as a missionary. but i have no clue as to where or when. i think time will make more things clear in this foggy haze that surrounds me.
