Transforming Grace

that is the name of my book. it's interesting, i heard of this one author and i thought that it sounded familiar, but could pinpoint where i heard of it... duh. my small group reference book called, "The Fruitful Life," is by the same author: Jerry Bridges! ah ha! i got a book at Church called the Pursuit to Godliness, but it's a sequel to Persuit of Holiness, and so the next day traveled to the store to grab that book and another one that caught my eye: Transforming Grace. i am only in the 2nd chapter, but it's amazing how much i have already learned. i think we all get caught up in the whole: if i do good things then i will go to Heaven.... our pass to Heaven isn't about works, it's about Grace. and a grace God has already given us. mmm.

geez it's only tues. seems like 2 weeks have already passed. time is going slowwww today. i am anxious to just move in already! i woke up early, packed Da Van, and my car and just waiting for mi madre y then i will head over to the house: aka my new home for the next 2 years and live there over the summer. after the Rock has been talking more and more about Spiritual Gifts, i decided to retake the spiritual gifts test. here i my order from number 1 being the top scored and the last being the lowest scored:

2. Exhorter/Encourager
3. Leader/Administrator
4. Prophet/Perceiver
5. Teacher
6. Mercy/Compassion
7. Giver


now all's i got to do is find a new place at the Rock to serve Him. simple.
