life. it's contagious.

So this last week (spring break) was trully a blessing for me. I got to go to mammoth with my dad and my grandparents. It's crazy how we take things for granted all the time and overlook the simplistic details that make life so worthwhile. Not only was i incredibly blessed to get to spend time with my dad, but to really get to know my grandparents. i'm realizing more and more how much i want that grand-daughter relationship with them, but i've just always overlooked/skipped out in spending time with them...

last week i would of written my daily blogs, however i did not have access to the internet. which in a way was nice. i was able to spend time with God and not be distracted by everything going on around me. trust me, this last week was a much needed week.

so now i'm here, typing away and God's convicting me of so many things in my life. one of them being something that has been going on for so many years. which is taking care of myself. having hip displacia isn't as pleasant sounding as you may think. i am on a path that will take me to surgery in the near future for hip replacement surgery and just this last monday i had an MRI. the mri was for (as the doctor believes) a muscle around the hip that could have been affected by my hip; ie popping, grinding from standing too long, and or walking long distances. if the results come to be that the muscle has been affected, then i will for sure go into surgery for that. if not, splendid, but that doesn't excusue the major surgery that i know that i will have to endure on day. All i can do is take each day as a new day to start over. God is teaching me to respect myself and i'm learning that i need to honor the body/person God has created me to be. 'I am beautifully and wonderfully made.'

God is also showing me not to hold back and to use the gifts that he has bestowed in me. i am constantly learning new things about myself and how i can encourage other girls to know Him. it is such a blessing in my life, God is SO good! i'm now working on diligently seeking him and being humble to him, by giving him the control in my life. it's refreshing to know that i am not alone in this and that he will always be there for me waiting when i come home from school or life to have chats and listen to my troubles or fears. who else can always be there? he seeks every moment to call out to us and he diligently waits to hear from us. he is our true romancer and i know this is true everytime i see the sun set, or the cute bunny on my nature trail to the trolley. he hasn't forgotten me. so i can't forget him.

the other day i got NOVA's cd and it's trully amazing. listening to the tracks gives me a peace about the direction i know that God is taking me and I can feel his presence through it. sadly, it's hard to think about leaving my apartment of close friends and moving out. God works in so many ways and one of them being: placing opposites in a house, but we unite as one to love on one another in the end. i'll be moving out around may 20th so hopefully i will get to see those girls more next year. the other side to this is the fact that i'm really excited to be living in the ADX house next year. i'm excited to not only get to know my fellow sisters in Christ, but to also be stronger in my faith.

so basically all i can say it that there has been many ups and downs in my relationship with God and some praises that i have is my mom's condition. everytime i think about it i am moved to almost tears at the thought of what it could have been. but then i remember that God has not forgotten me. so my mom went in to the doctor to check her colon for any paulups (spelled wrong) which could be cancerous. the doctor said that they found 3 paulups and that he thought that one could be cancerous. a couple days later, we found out that one was not cancerous, but the other two could potentially be. luckily, the two were found in the first stages of cancer and as of right now she is cancer free...least that we know of. (last year she had early stages of melanoma, but it was removed) so it can be easily said that with all these run ins, i just praise him for calming my greatest fears for my family. something that i always try to focus on is remembering this: Never forget who saved you.
